"Swing Shift", which is, I think,
a compilationn to conquor Europe is good party music and has the
following ingredients: everything is played with an overdose of
enthusiasm, the necessary variety, a considered ratio original
verses covers 7 & 7. These Bluescats can play all styles and
it seems to me that they'll put any festival, club or tent on
fire when playing live.

One of the most swingin'
lively and lovely combos who play jump, jive, rock & roll, blues,
boogie and swing in the purest tradition. Behind the great Tim Casey's
own compositions, you can find lots of details coming from the musicians
who have deeply influenced him, Buy his "Swing Shift"
CD ....Great

If you like your blues
with tons of horn mixed with a swinging, jumping, boogie beat, the
Tim Casey and the Bluescats could rock your world. Real smooth.
Casey penned half the tunes which is always a nice bonus.

This band uses instruments
and amplifiers changed little from the 1950s, a vintage amalgamation
of old woods, vacuum tubes and paper cone speakers. Playing blues
from the time of big-finned cars, bad bourbon, fat steak and horizonless
optimism. Sam

captured live and direct. Good production on Casey's second CD showcases

Tim Casey &
the Bluescats are the Northwest's version of "Roomful of
Blues" ....a little big band laying down lots of jump, '40s
and '50s style. Throughout, Casey's crisp, period guitar plays
nicely off the adrenaline blur of Chris Kliemann's pounding piano
and the propulsive horn section.

This band plays with flair and
finesse, and these cats are the essence of cool! They are a must-see
and the northwest is fortunate to have them.

This band is so hot, they were
called back for two encores. We could have listened to the Bluescats
all night, that's a fact!

Tim Casey and the Bluescats
lay down a fearsome swing/jump blues groove and are always entertaining,
not to mention ususally being the best dressed folks in the house.

These guys are one of our favorite groups
to catch, and they regularly attract some of the better dancers
around for their swinging blues. They makeit move, and feature
two saxes and a trumpet plus a great piano player.

Definitely aimed at
those who like their blues with healthy doses of brass and sass,
a touch of cockiness pervades the entire album.

Swing
Shift delivers jump and swing, Texas and Chicago
style shuffles and good old-time rock and roll. The horn section,
with tight arrangements and impressive solo's is a key ingredient
in this seven-piece band. Tim Casey and the Bluescats swing throughout
this recording in a way that makes it obvious they both enjoy and
understand the music.
