Drums At age 5 Don played his dad's drumset along with jazz records. Playing varied styles through his school years led to working with many local bands traveling throughout the New England area. Don was inspired by the blues. Working with Still Kicking, a blues and R and B band with influences from Muddy Waters, The Allman Bros., Eric Clapton, and Stevie Ray Vaughn. This led to a blues recording project of his own just before moving to Seattle. Finding Tim Casey and The Bluescats was just what he was looking for. Utilizing vintage Slingerland drums and a keen sense of meter he gives The Bluescats a firm rhythmic base on which they can rely.
